MIlfoil alert - Cobbossee Lake

The Cobbosseecontee Lake Association reports invasive Eurasian Watermilfoil has been discovered at Horseshoe Island, located within the town border of Winthrop, on Cobbossee Lake. This map shows the location. People enjoying the water are asked to avoid these areas to prevent the spread of this invasive plant.

 

Boaters and anglers are also reminded to check their watercrafts and equipment for plant fragments to prevent the spread of invasives.
