Winthrop Historical Society

Located in the Winthrop History Center at 107 Main Street in downtown Winthrop, the Winthrop Maine Historical Society works to collect and preserve historical information about Winthrop, Maine. The Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization, with a mission to stimulate broad-based support for local history through advocacy, education and fundraising.

The Society aims to promote an awareness and appreciation of Winthrop's local history by conducting educational programs and providing informational services to the community.

The History and Heritage Center winter hours are Thursdays 10am-2pm, Saturdays 10am-4pm, or by appointment by calling 207-395-5199.
