What is the property tax rate?
The property tax rate (also known as a mil rate) is the amount per $1,000 dollars of property value which is used to calculate your tax bill.
(mil rate x your property's value)
Example: The current tax rate is $22.64 per $1,000; of your property’s value, less any exemption you may have, is:
- $100,000 then your tax bill would be $2,264
- $150,000 then your tax bill would be $3,396
- $200,000 then your tax bill would be $4,528
- $250,000 then your tax bill would be $5,660
