Town Council meeting

Newly elected and newly re-elected Town Councilors Aaron White and Roy Weymouth, respectively, will take their oaths of office at the start of the Jan. 8 Town Council meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office, 17 Highland Ave. The public is invited. Following the councilors' swearing in, there will be a short reception with refreshments.
The business portion of the meeting begins at 7 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are discussions of accepting Rambler Road as a town roadway, of the fiscal year 2024-25 Winthrop Public Schools budget, and of the area that will be designated for growth in the Comprehensive Plan update, which is nearing completion.
