The Town Council will gather public input Monday night on how it could best make use of $50,000 in funding the Town expects to receive from the State of Maine's Community Resilience Partnership program. The program seeks to help towns become more resilient to the effects of climate change, including extreme weather and flooding.

The forum begins at approximately 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at the Town Office, 17 Highland Ave., following an emergency management training the Council will be engaged in. Citizens are invited and encouraged to attend. A Zoom link is also available, and can be found on the agenda posted at winthropmaine.org/jan22towncouncil. The agenda includes a hot link to background information about the Community Resilience program.

The amount of funding would increase to $125,000 if the Town can partner on a project with another participating community.
