The Planning Board will offer input into the chapter of the Comprehensive Plan update that relates to future land use when it meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Town Office, 17 Highland Ave. The meeting is open to the public and also accessible via Zoom. The Zoom link is included in the agenda attached below.
The town is working on an update of the 2010 Comprehensive Plan, which serves as a 10-year roadmap for growth and development in a community. As a result, recommendations regarding future land use are a critical component of the plan. During the meeting, Jessica Cobb, a planner with the Kennebec Valley Council of Governments, will review an initial draft of the future land use chapter with the Planning Board and solicit its input. The update is being crafted in conjunction with the town's Comprehensive Plan Committee.
