The Town Office is hiring a full time Deputy Clerk

The Town of Winthrop is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Clerk. This is a 40 hour

work week. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Primary responsibilities include motor vehicle, boat, ATV,

and snowmobile registrations, issuance of hunting and fishing licenses, acceptance of real estate tax

payments and issuance of dog licenses, vital records, along with various other municipal reports and

duties. Candidate with municipal experience is desired, but candidates with comparable experience are

encouraged to apply. The candidate must be able to deal courteously with the public and maintain

effective work relationships with other employees. Computer experience, solid organizational and

communication skills, have strong accounting/cash handling, and data entry skills are a must. Candidate

must be bondable and are subject to criminal background and credit check.
