Notice to Repeal the Disbursement of Excess Funds Received from the Sale of Tax Acquired Property Ordinance

The Winthrop Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the Winthrop Town Office (All Purpose Room) at 17 Highland Ave., for consideration of the following:
To repeal the Disbursement of Excess Funds Received from the Sale of Tax Acquired Property Ordinance enacted by the Town Council on May 2, 2016, which is in conflict with new state lawmaking defining procedures on how municipalities must dispose of properties acquired through foreclosures.
