Mooring Committee to consider survey draft

The Town's ad-hoc Moorings Committee will review a draft survey it is considering to help it determine whether the community supports consideration of a mooring ordinance. The committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Town Office, 19 Highland Ave. The public can also participate via Zoom; the link is included in the agenda, which is attached below.

The Town Council appointed the seven-member committee and charged it with delivering a report of its findings regarding a possible mooring ordinance to the Town Manager no later than Aug. 30, 2024. The committee will present its findings to the Town Council for its consideration at the Council’s next scheduled meeting following receipt of the committee’s report. The Council will consider either adopting the Committee’s recommendations as presented or calling for a special referendum election for voters to consider the recommendations.

The Committee's members are:

  • Barbara Brosius
  • Matthew Colpitts
  • Dwight Doughty
  • Michael Ketchen
  • Lynn Reed
  • Matt Steele
