Disaster Recovery Center NOW OPEN in Manchester for those affected by the Dec. 17-21, 2023 storm

The Kennebec County Emergency Management Agency in coordination with the Maine Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have partnered with our local community members in Manchester to provide a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to offer Individual Assistance resources to the residents who were affected by the December 17th-21st 2023 Storm.

FEMA will be staffing a Disaster Recovery Center at the following location with personnel to assist survivors with starting their application process or to provide updates on their case. FEMA DRC staff will also be able to assist with uploading documents needed for their case to be processed.

Kennebec County survivors and business owners are encouraged to apply for Individual Assistance to aid in their recovery efforts. Eligible survivors can apply for assistance with:
• Temporary Housing Assistance
• Lodging Expense Reimbursement
• Home Repair/Replacement
• Damage to essential vehicles
• Moving and storage assistance
• Some cost not covered by insurance
• Federal recovery loans with low interest rates
• And other necessary expenses related to the December 18th Storm.
