Narrows Pond is the primary source and Maranacook Lake is the secondary source for drinking water for the Town of Winthrop.

Current rate for water is $62.68 for the first 900 cubic feet (per quarter). Current rate for sewer is $160.50 for the first 1500 cubic feet (per quarter). $10.70 for each additional cubic foot. Minimum is $223.18/quarter.
Current monthly rate for water is $20.89 for the first 300 cubic feet. Current monthly rate for sewer is $53.50 for the first 500 cubic feet. Minimum is $74.39/month.
Winthrop Utilities District is not a town department, but the Town Council does appoint three Trustees to the Winthrop Utilities Board.
